Oscar de la Renta is a prestigious international fashion brand.

Óscar Arístides Renta Fiallo, born in Dominica and American citizen was the founder of a fashion design house, adopting the professional name of Oscar de la Renta.

During his studies in Spain, he used to draw clothes for newspapers and fashion houses.
One of his dress sketches turned into a wedding dress. This was the beginning of his outstanding career because the dress appeared on the cover of Life magazine.

The doors instantly opened for new opportunities, and he succeeded to be trained by Cristóbal Balenciaga, who at this time was known as Spain’s most renowned designer.

Oscar became internationally famous in the 1960s, after contributing clothes to Jacqueline Kennedy’s wardrobe.

In 1977, de la Renta introduced his first fragrance for women, OSCAR. Till today it remains a worldwide best-seller.
