Kenzo Perfumes is a division of an International French fashion brand, founded by Kenzo Takada, a Japanese fashion designer.
Kenzo graduated at the Tokyo’s Bunka Fashion College.
In 1964 he emigrated to Paris and started to get involved in the fashion world there.
In 1970, he opened his first store, “Jungle Jap.” This was the beginning of his success.
The success was due to his dedication and talent, especially merging to his designs, Asian and Japanese designs with Occidental trends.
In 1988, his first perfume was launched. It was “Kenzo de Kenzo” for women. It is known today as “Ça Sent Beau”.
“Kenzo de Kenzo” was the first of a fragrance line which also included “Parfum d’été” “Le monde est beau” and “L’eau par Kenzo”
Three years later, in 1991, he launched “Kenzo Pour Homme”, perfume for men.
His most famous and influential perfume, “Flower by Kenzo” appeared in 2000, becoming one of the most sold perfume in the scent industry.
Taking advantage of his success, Kenzo continued to produce perfumes, mostly under the umbrella of collections, like:
– Kenzo Flower
– Flower In The Air
– Jeu d`Amour
– L’Eau par Kenzo
– Les Eaux De Fleur
From time to time, a new release is launched and labeled under an existing collection.
For example, “Flower by Kenzo Eau de Lumière” was launched in 2017, and it is part of the Flower Collection, where “Flower by Kenzo” from 2000 is the first perfume of the collection.
