Issey Miyake is a famous Japanese fashion designer.

He was born in Hiroshima in 1938.

He graduated from the Tama Art University in Tokyo in graphic design. The year was 1964.
After a short period in Paris and New York, he returned to Tokyo, in 1970 founding a women’s fashion line, under the brand “Miyake Design Studio.”

His success was fast becoming a world fashion icon, not only for women but also for men, always adding new lines of fashion related products, such as bags, watches, perfumes and more.

His first perfume, “L’eau d’Issey for women”, was launched in 1992.
It was natural to continue enhancing his brand, adding new fragrances for women and men as well.

It is important to mention that the producer of the Issey perfume line is the “Beauté Prestige International,” a reputable scents related manufacturer.

His warm friendship with Steve Jobs, Apple’s president, ended in producing the black turtlenecks Steve used to wear.
