Christian Dior

Dior is one of the top fashion houses, named after its founder, Christian Dior, a French designer, who died in Italy on October 1957.

Despite his family’s aspirations that he would become a diplomat, Dior wished to be involved in art.
When the “New Look” was created in 1947, Dior rose to prominence in the fashion world. The collection not only influenced women’s fashion, but also helped the re-establishment of Paris as a fashion capital.

In 1937 he started working for the fashion designer Robert Piguet and there he got the opportunity to design himself. Dior left Piguet when he was called up for military service.

The French company of luxury goods was founded in 1946 and it is a worldwide appreciated brand up until today. Cloths, leather items, fashion accessories, footwear, jewelry, make-up, cosmetic products, and fragrance are designed and created by Christian Dior company. The tradition as a creator of haute-couture is also maintained.
